Rumor has it that the highly hyped Samsung F700 smartphone is well on it's way to the US in the near future. According to CrunchGear, an anonymous source claims that Verizon will be getting the F700 in the form of a CDMA version. No specifics were given, and the message is mysterious at best.
For those not familiar with the rumored F700 (it's essentially a very nice iPhone with the major addition of a fold-out real QWERTY keyboard), you can check out a chart of the specifications below.

So, what does this mean for the iPhone? If the rumor is true, then Apple and AT&T are in for some heavy competition. On the upside, this means that Verizon diehards will be getting a neat new device. Too bad it's not an iPhone.

It won't support any 3rd party apps. I don't anticipate companies like Slingmedia creating a version of Slingplayer that works for it. Then again, I don't see anybody creating anything for it other than Verizon or Sprint. It's just another iPhoney.
Oh... I'm dying to see this FULL HTML web browsing... that should be a laugh. Imagine an A900 with a larger screen... lame
It sucks so baaad. The touchscreen ist very slow and not reacting directly like the iphone. After holding the Iphone in my hands the F700 is like cheap plastic in my hands.
