Rumor: Next iPhone, iPod Touch To Have HD Video-Out?

Apple is telling retailers of their Apple Composite AV Cable and Apple Component AV Cable to clear out inventory of these items. It is believed that Apple will be consolidating these two components into a single cable, called the Apple AV cable, to be launched prior to the launch of the next generation of iPhone, which is rumored to be capable of HD video-out.
The move would make sense, given how poorly the comparatively expensive and needlessly limiting Apple Composite AV Cable and Apple Component AV Cable were received by the public. The new Apple AV Cable will work similar to how the Xbox 360 Component AV Cable works.
iPhoneNews.com who broke this story, claims to have evidence that the next generation of iPhone and iPod touch will be capable of HD-video out, going from the current 480i and 480p resolutions to 720i and 720p with the new devices.
