Rumor: 2.1 Software To Launch This Tuesday

Ars Technica says they have word from the inside that Apple is expecting to launch iPhone Software version 2.1 on September 9th. Particularly interesting about the rumor is the claim that in addition to what is already known about 2.1, Apple withheld certain parts of the new OS from the developer seed in order to keep them a secret. On one hand, the news is exciting in that they may be hiding some cool new feature. On the other, they could also be something bad. We'll have to wait until Tuesday to find out.

This would be great news, can't wait to see what Apple has to offer with a new update... hopefully fixes as many bugs as they can.

Ok, it is Tuesday, Sept. 9th, 2008....where is the 2.1 update? I very anxious for this morning, but much to my unhappiness 2.1 seems to have missed todays mark. I am desperate! I am so tired of the dropped calls that I have relegated myself to turning off 3G.

If the update is indeed released today, I'm sure it will be after the "Let's Rock" rvrnt kicks off later today. Check back later! :-)
