Rogers Extending Free Tethering Deal To May 3, 2010
Rogers Wireless announced today that they are extending their promotional offering of free tethering included with plans that include at least 1GB of monthly data for devices that are capable of tethering to a computer to share it’s data connection, including the iPhone. The deal was set to expire at the end of this year, but has now been extended to end May 3rd, 2010.
All new contracts signed for plans on either Rogers Wireless or Fido that include at least 1GB of data for the iPhone and other tether-able devices will now include free tethering built in to their plan as long as the contract was signed between when the promotion began and May 3rd, 2010.
Rogers didn’t list their reason for extending the promotion, but it is most likely to combat Bell and Telus, both of which factor tethering in to their iPhone plans.
