Rogers Announces New iPhone 3G Plans

Canadian iPhone carriers Rogers and Fido have announced new plans for the iPhone 3G, bringing to an end their offering of 6GB for $30 CAD. It is instead being replaced with two new subscription plans for $60 and $75 CAD per month.

The $60 plan offers 250 daytime minutes, 1GB of data, 75 sent text messages, Visual Voicemail, and unlimited evenings and weekends (9PM to 7AM on Rogers, 7PM to 8AM on Fido). Fido customers also get unlimited network calling and billing by the second.

The $75 plan offers 400 daytime minutes, 2GB of data, 100 sent text messages, Visual Voicemail, and unlimited evenings and weekends. Fido customers will also get unlimited network calling, unlimited long-distance network calling and billing by the second like the $60 plan.

Additionally, they’re also offering value packs that can be added on top of either plan. For $15 users can add call display, WhoCalled, 2,500 texts, Caller Ring Trax and 2,500 call-forwarding minutes. For an extra $20 on top of one of the standard iPhone plans, users get the same features as the $15 pack with the addition of 10,000 total texts and 6PM early evenings for Rogers customers, and 5PM early evenings with Fido.
