Retina MacBook Selling on eBay for Huge Premium Due to Shortages

People are loving the Retina-display-equipped MacBook Pros – a lot. This is evident by the exorbitant premium that an eBay seller is retailing them for due to a scarcity in supply.

The new 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is either out of stock, coming soon or experiencing shipping delays on almost every retail website where the machines are being sold. An eBay seller has realized the significance of the supply shortage – he/she is selling the latest laptop from Cupertino at a large $1700 more than Apple’s original asking price.

The eBay seller has detailed on the product’s page that the deal comes with same day shipping as well as insurance on the MacBook – and people are enticed considering there are only two left (starting number not known).

There’s no doubt that Apple’s latest product is in high demand. After all, it touts additional hardware marvels such as an improved processor, 8GB of DDR3 onboard RAM, 256GB Flash storage, and more – not just the beautiful retina display that comes packed with over 5 million pixels.
