Remote App Adds Gesture Controls To Apple TV

Apple released an update for the Apple TV and Apple Remote App recently that allows you navigate your Apple TV using gesture controls on the iPhone or iPod touch. While using the gestures, the screen turns into a blank sort of track pad for the device, taking in the gestures. Screenshots after the break.

During video playback, tapping will play or pause the video, while flicking or dragging and holding left or right will rewind or fast forward. Flicking down shows chapter markers, and left or right will skip them. Dragging two fingers left will replay the selection.

The controls are similar for audio playback: tap to pause, drag left or right and hold to rewind and fast forward, Flick left or right for previous or next track.
