RadioShack To Offer iPhone In More US Locations In 2010
Radio Shack has announced plans to offer the iPhone in more locations nationwide in 2010 to increase distribution across the US. Currently, they offer the iPhone 3G and 3GS in only 250 of their locations. It is hoped that the push to offer the device in more areas will help to reinforce their recent ad campaigns that emphasize mobile devices.
“The new positioning is getting through to consumers,” CEO Julian Day told BusinessWeek. “People used to walk into the store, ask if we had the iPhone, and when I said no, they’d walk out,” added a Radio Shack employee.
