Qik Launches iPhone-Formatted Site, Lets You Watch Qiks On iPhone

Flash video support on the iPhone can be a real pain, especially when you want to watch someone's video on a site like Qik.Thankfully they have heard out frustration and have launched a mobile version of their website with QuickTime-formatted videos that can be watched from the Mobile Safari browser.

Now, when you go to a website at Qik.com on an iPhone or iPod touch, you are automatically transferred to the iPhone-formatted version that lets you access a number of features, including:

• View Hot Qiks, Top Qikkers
• View someone's profile page by going to qik.com/[username]
• Search for Qiks
• Playback Qiks
• View location of the Qik (currently limited to Qiks streamed from iPhone)
• Login to view and edit your profile
• Add Title, Description, Tags to your Qiks
• Set Privacy for your Qiks
• Follow other Qikkers
• and Share Qiks with Others

A more exciting feature that's new to the iPhone-formatted version is the ability to view Qiks on a map, something they say is specifically for Qiks taken on iPhones.
