Next iPhone May Be “iPhone 4S,” Support All Major Carriers
Well, maybe it is time to stop assuming that iPhone 4′s successor will be called iPhone 5. After all, Apple has never stuck with simply incremental numbers. According to Forbes, it “should be” called iPhone 4S.
When the iPhone 3GS came around, the “S” stood for speed, so that is most likely the case here with an upgrade to the A5 chip. In addition, there will be small design changes and improved cameras. If you were expecting 4G, you will probably have to wait another year since that is not reported to be in the cards this time around.
Expanding the iPhone empire and a step towards completing its quest for world domination, the 4S will mark its venture into an availability on all four major carriers. Yup, Sprint and T-Mobile may be joining AT&T and Verizon. More choice is good for the customer plus it promotes competition, leading to better deals. Win-win.
iPhone 4S, or whatever you want to call it, is expected to launch in September. Get ready to see even more people with an iPhone.
