Mozilla Working On Mystery App For iPhone
Mozilla CEO John Lilly announced at the Play conference today at Berkeley University that his company was planning to launch a new applicaiton for the iPhone. He didn’t say anything about what it would be, offering only a broad statement: “Mozilla will release an app to the iPhone App Store in the next few weeks,” Lilly said. “It’ll surprise people.”
One clue about its purpose was when John Lilly and VP of Mobile, Jay Sullivan, said nothing when asked if Mozilla’s Weave technology for accessing your browsing history in the URL bar would be included in the application somehow. They may have just wanted to remain silent regarding the app, but their silence may be telling.
