Microsoft Announces Hotmail POP3 Support For iPhone In Select Countries

Microsoft has announced that Windows Live Hotmail now supports POP3 in select countries on a number of devices, including the iPhone. The announcement means that Hotmail users can now set their iPhone 3G to automatically retrieve email from their inbox based on a schedule.

POP3 access is available in United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. To set it up, users will need to set it to recognize the POP server as pop3.live.com (port 995) and provide their full WIndows Live ID and password for the account.

Even though I no longer use Hotmail it's nice to see Microsoft is finally allowing their subscribers to have Pull Email on smartphones such as the iPhone without having to pay extra for the service.

they are charging.. thats the point when i tried to use it it said to log on to windows live mail and than pick my yearly rate..

If they are charging, this has been available for a while now. If you pay yearly for your Hotmail, you can have POP3 access to it.

It shows Inbox Only

I've setup the hotmail account successfully but it shows only ONE folder and thats Inbox. All other such as Sent Items, Deleted, etc. are missing.
Any ideas???
