Media Event Scheduled For 27th, To Include iPhone 4.0 SDK?

The latest report from WSJ’s Digital Daily claims that the Apple media event rumored for late this month is confirmed, and that it will include a pretty big announcement. Word has it that they will be hosting an event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on January 26th. Now they say it will be on the 27th instead. Meanwhile, a french Mac site says the event will also include a new iPhone SDK.

“So that rumored Apple event everyone’s been jawing about these past few weeks?” John Packowski wrote. “It’s on and it’s going to be a big deal.” He cites “sources in a position to know” that say that the media event will go along with the release of a big new product.

Meanwhile, Mac4Ever is claiming that iPhone 4.0 beta SDK will also be revealed, and will include a “simulator” that will help app developers adjust for the larger screen resolution.
