Line Forms Outside 5th Avenue Apple Store In New York
Submitted by Edward Kirk on July 4, 2008 - 7:09pm.

The iPhone 3G launch is about 1 week away and people have started lining up outside Apple's flagship store in New York. Apparently the family at the front of the line are standing there in an attempt to break a world record for standing in line. The folks at Engadget got a chance to talk with him which you can check out on Viddler

wow
Crazy ?!
I had to chuckle when I read the other comment because it is so true,......... "and it begins."
To me it just doesn't seem as exciting as it was last year, I guess because it was a brand new product.
Can't stand them.
come on
pluse i wolud like to wait like i did last year to see if the new phone really works good, bug problomes, and to be jail broken... when i make sure theis 3 things are in good order then i will get my new iphone... other than that its just stright madness....
and some one till thies guys to take the baby home.. thats not cool.
parents of the year...
but i dont think they r doing this to be guaranteed a 3G iPhone... i think its just about setting the new world record, 4 standing the longest in a line along with "the parents of year award"... i mean we will probably be the 1st country in the world to have the 3g iphone released (in New Zealand) and seriously no one seems to care
dont think its worth upgrading my iphone for a 3g iphone yet...
STATEMENT: "We're hoping to get about 6 billion people to sign it."
REPLY: "That's everybody on the planet...that's a lot of people."
I did have a good laugh at that part.
