Leaked T-Mobile Ad Showes November 12 Launch Date, 3G and 16GB Storage iPhone

Take this one with a grain of salt: What appears to be a leaked advertisement from T-Mobile Germany hints that Apple might be launching it’s iPhone campaign in Germany on November 12th with many improvements to the iPhone line, including 3G network capabilities and even a model with 16GB of storage.

The add promises a version of the handset with support for 3G-level cellular internet access, using both the US-friendly HSDPA format and typically Europe-only UMTS, with theoretical download speeds reaching the format’s full 3.6Mbps. It also promises a model that has 16GB of storage, an addition that would mark the first upgrade for the iPhone’s storage capacity.

As to the ad’s authenticity, there is one error when it mistakenly refers to the iPhone as an iPod, but appears to be otherwise consistent with T-Mobile’s advertising.

Unfortunately for overseas customers, it appears that the 16GB device with 3G will be selling for 499 Euros, or US $687, though it includes a coupon for the iTunes store. Available plans would feature unlimited data and differ only in general calling minutes and SMS messages. The “L” plan would offer 200 minutes and 100 messages for 50 Euros ($69) per month; “XL” and “XXL” plans would jump to 300 and 400 minutes respectively for 60 Euros ($83) and 70 Euros ($96) per month with 150 and 200 messages each.

If this ad is authentic, it would mean that we now have a definitive launch date for the German launch date. Apple has yet to announce a definitive launch date for the device, and T-Mobile has yet to announce their position as the offiial carrier of the iPhone in Germany, but that seems to be where the rumors are pointing. Apple is expected to accompany the Germany launch with launches around the same time from O2 in the UK and Orange in France.
