Pinch Media: Jailbreakers Rise From 8% To 8.43% In One Week

Pinch Media, provider of analytics services for advertisers on iPhone applications, somewhere around 8.43% of all iPhone users out there are using jailbroken iPhones. This number has gone up a little since last week, when it was at around 8%. It is possible that this may be related to the banning of Google Voice applications, but a solid correlation hasn't been proven yet.

GV Mobile played a big part in deciding to jailbreak again. I hadn't in a long time.

of course

i do it for:

1) winterboard - putting a bg picture on the iphone, and themes
2) flashlight that will auto adjust brightness to 100%.
3) Hide the unused STOCKS and CONTACTS icons
4) To use iphone as usb hard drive

Count me in!

I can say that I, for one, was quite upset with the denial of GV apps (as a regular user) and thus I did finally make the decision to jailbreak my phone.

Let me add, I was pleased at how easy it was to do, and that once done, I was able to then access other cool tools like Qik.
