iPhone Update May Enable Video Output

As each day goes by, an iPhone update seems to promise more than the day before it. Today is no exception. This morning at the UK iPhone event, Steve Jobs brought some shiny new iPhones with him. These particular iPhones were running the illusive software version 1.1.1. Along with the anticipated iTunes Wi-Fi Store and O2 carrier logo, the iPhones had a few extra features not yet seen in the current version.
If you recall, Apple's been dropping hints that an update was imminent since Friday. Anticipated additions include the double-click to bring up iPod controls, international keyboards, as well as the publicly promised iTunes Wi-Fi store. But it doesn't seem to stop there.
After the even this morning, reporters present were allowed to check out iPhones running on the O2 cellular network. Engadget's Conrad Quilty-Harper had a little hands-on time with the O2 iPhone and snapped a few photos of the interface. After posting them, a sharp TUAW reader noticed a "TV Out" setting in one of the photos, indicative of a new video out ability that the new update turns on.
Now all we have to do is wait...
