iPhone SDK Downloaded Over 100,000 Times

On Wednesday, Apple announced that since its introduction last week, the iPhone software development kit has been downloaded over 100,000 times. Debuted at a media event in Cupertino, representatives from the company showed off several applications created with the software, including games from Apple and Electronic Arts as well as an instant messaging client from America Online.

Other companies, such as Six Apart (makes of TypePad blogging software and Intuit have expressed an interest in writing applications for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch devices.

100,000 downloads how many developers?

So far it seems only large company developers have the full package - free download only allows you to simulate iPhone not upload and test applications on iPhone (basically its useless unless you only want to play) - so far it seems no small/one man organizations have been made 'official' developers - not looking good for the 'freedom' network. $99 individuals just get a we'll get back to you message
