iPhone OS 4.0 Automobile Integration Video Surfaces
A video has surfaced of what looks to be the beginning of the iPhone OS integration into a car interface. The video shows a simple application that is bundled in iPhone OS 4.0 that feeds a simplified menu for navigating your audio library out to a video lead. Without any official announcement from Apple, we can only speculate on the possible direction for this interface. Ideally this system will interact with some of the major auto manufacturers, like Ford’s Sync, allowing you to use your radio controls, or even steering wheel controls to navigate your iPhone or iPod Touch while on the road.
Be sure to mute your sound before playing the video below, unless you’re a fan of Wynonna Judd and Christmas music.
