iPhone Named #1 Coolest Gadget By Stuff

We knew the iPhone was cool, but now we have proof. British technology magazine Stuff awarded the iPhone top prize in their Cool List 2007. Even though the iPhone has yet to officially set foot in Europe and the UK, the coolness somehow made it's way overseas. It also snatched the reader's choice awards.
"The mobile to end all mobiles pipped all the other top-name entries to earn the planet’s biggest gadget accolade. The touchscreen device redefined how humans interact with their phones as well as offering almost every feature no self-respecting mobile should be without. How could we resist?"
Also on the list was the iPod Nano in 10th place. The readers of Stuff and The Telegraph's Digital Life awarded the ipod the "greatest gadget ever". "The stylish digital music player has dominated the market since its first incarnation in 2001. The odds are you own one, or the person next to you owns one, anyway."
Of course, the magazine's editor-in-chief Tom Dunsmore said that they chose the gadgets based on their "stand-out" quality (aka coolness) instead of their functionality or sales success.
"Gadgets are getting more stylish and more desirable every year. This year's list is packed with must-have Christmas gifts so beautifully designed and such a joy to use that they'll appeal to technophobes as well as gadget- lovers," he said.
Ranking in the #2 spot was the Leica M8 camera for its "retro-chic stylings" and "legendary Leica optics and full manual control." #3 was the Tonium Pacemaker, a neat little toy that allows Djs to mix music without turntables.
