iPhone Firmware Update Coming Soon

in

Apple's recent store credit reimbursement for early iPhone users revealed a bit of interesting information. In one of the screenshots for how to find the serial number on the iPhone, the firmware version is listed as 1.1.1 and the modem firmware is listed as 1.02.04_G. At this time, Apple has only released firmware version 1.0.2 for the iPhone. This may mean that the new firmware version for the iPhone is coming soon.

This new update will also include the iTunes Wifi Store and possibly International Keyboard and Home Button settings. International Keyboard and Home Button settings are also in images Apple's credit reimbursement site (pictured below).

Back up the truck

Here comes the Death Star's attempt to upset all the apps/unlocking schenanagans.

i can see them trying to stop the unlocking just because of legal issues involving att but from their statements, it doesn't really seem that they care about the apps. in all reality it makes the iphone more functional and people like them more

anyone else catch the "Home Button" preference?

wonder what that would be?

also it gives you the International preference found on the iPod Touch... leading one to ask an even deeper question "is Firmware v1.1.1 the version that will be found on the ever elusive 16GB European 3G iPhone?

*ponders the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything*
