iPhone Alley App of the Day – June 4, 2012
Although our staff here at iPhone Alley doesn’t get to review every single worthwhile application that undoubtedly bombard the App Store each and everyday, we keep an eye out for those that promise potential. Our limited number of reviews isn’t reflective of our eyes that are constantly searching the broad confines of the App Store. Below is our pick for today’s best application.
And our app of the day is…
First launched for Android in November of last year, Any.DO recently made its way to the iPhone and is currently a top contender for users in need of a worthy to-do application.
Realmac Software’s Clear generated tons of hype around the time of its release onto the App Store mainly for its prominent introduction of a clean, minimalist user interface with intuitive gesture functions used. Any.DO similarly employs a powerful system of gestures which are used in the same ways: to input new tasks, indicate tasks are completed, and more.
The app supports reminders, priorities and notes for tasks as well as social sharing by means of its Facebook integration, which make it slightly more complex than the aforementioned Clear to which Any.DO is easily comparable to. Additionally, the app features a clean user interface without much complication – simple, soft textures, solid colors and more which coalesce to create a modern aesthetic.
Remember to tune in for tomorrow’s pick!
