iPhone 3G To Launch In 20 Countries On August 22

One of the other things Apple announced was that the iPhone 3G will be launching an additional 20 countries on August 22. While this may be good news for the people of those countries looking to get an iPhone, the recent short supplies we've been seeing don't bode well for more international launches. Demand was high at the launches it's already had internationally, and we have yet to see a steady supply anywhere.

Despite this, CFO Tim Cook believes that production will be ready to meet the increased demand. If he's right, then hopefully it will mean people both in those 20 countries and the countries the iPhone 3G has already launched in will have an easier time getting their hands on one and getting them activated.
