iPhone 3G To Be Offered Through Additional Resellers In Germany, Italy

Apple is boosting their iPhone retail efforts in both Germany and Italy to ensure sufficient availability of the iPhone 3G when it launches in July. Because Apple has few retail locations in these countries, they have chosen to make deals with other companies to sell the iPhone to make up for their own lack of retail presence in the countries.

In Germany, Apple has struck a deal with computer reseller Gravis, under which the company will be able to sell the iPhone 3G with T-Mobile contracts through their shops.

Meanwhile, they have also reached agreements to allow local Apple Premium Resellers to offer the device in Italy through their own stores, supplementing the high street efforts of Vodafone and Telecom Italia.
