International Keyboard, Radio Remote & Nike + iPod Coming to iPhone?
![]()
Fumbling through the iPhone's latest software today, we've found a few interesting things. SpringBoard seems to be hiding much more than just scrolling. Playing with some of the new property list files, we've learned that the iPhone does, in fact, support international keyboards, just not officially. We've also found references to Nike and "radio" accessories.
Within the "LingoToAccessoryMap.plist" file located in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app are references to two different accessories. The identifier "com.apple.mobile.radio" is likely a reference to the Radio Remote and "com.apple.mobile.nike" is almost certainly referencing the Nike + iPod accessory. It is unknown to us whether these accessories actually function currently in the iPhone.
Although they seem to be included, Apple has opted to disable the international keyboard in the iPhone. Thankfully it's as simple as tweaking a plist. The file "M68AP.plist" within System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app needs to be modified so that the key international is set true. Once that's done, reboot your iPhone and have fun in any language you desire... any one included, that is.

These only apply to jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhones
Apple seems to be lumping iPhone and iPod touch software into one bundle. So much so that icons and capabilities of the touch appear to be included with the latest update. The "Contacts" application is also included and can be turned visible by editing the "M68AP.plist"

I tried it the other day just to see, hopefully, they will follow through and make it functional.
nike+ support
Is it possible to make internation keyboard work on 1.0.2
My question is: Can I make it work on a 1.0.2 iPhone? copying some proper 1.1.1 files and configs?
