iGoogle Optimized For iPhone

in

A specially optimized version of iGoogle, the customizable home page from Google, has been launched for the iPhone. You can use the page to display useful things like RSS feeds, news on a variety of topics, crossword puzzles, weather maps, online tetris, etc., just like before, but now on your iPhone.

The optimized version is arranged differently to fit the screen, listing all feeds and gadgets in one column, and content is apparently scaled to the screen (according to the TestiPhone.com site).

The functionality is very similar to the original iGoogle page. Each Google Gadget can collapse into a tab by clicking on the blue tab once. Another click will expand it them out. You can view your own optomized iGoogle page at http://www.google.com/ig/i.

Awesome - what was missing from the mobile google pages

Been enjoying using google on my iphone but missed my igoogle customized home pages. Now that is mine too! I am very pleased to scroll through my family blogs on one page, choose News and the scroll through my favorite news feeds and so forth. Nice job again Google. Must be a boatload of iphones in the hands of google developers.
