Google App Updated With Voice Search, Location Aware Results

Google has released the highly anticipated update of their Google Mobile App that includes the ability to search Google by talking your search into your iPhone. It also adds location-aware results for searching for things like movie show times. The update is available as a free update in the App Store. Video after the break.

This program is really impressive. I put it thru its paces, trying a bunch of voice searches and it's nailed the search every time. All this without typing a thing. Thank you Google!

The same search in Safari would take much longer... launch program... click "X" to not reload the last page... click in the address bar... click the search bar... click "x" to remove the last search... type in your search (maybe having to correct a mistake the iPhone doesn't catch)... click return... and wait for results.

Very impressive app at a very impressive price.

OH MY GOODNESS! That is the coolest app I have ever seen. You speak anything into it and it does a search. WOW!

Solid update. To me it makes the app relevant for the first time.

The voice search feature works very well.

I tried it today and I am impressed with its speed and thoroughness. I am still on the Edge and it was as fast or faster than the weather widget. Nice!

will it work to make a phone call by this voice recognition????

It is Google

It will do a Google search of who the number belongs to. It is a search engine, not an autodialer.
