Fring Makes Mobile VoIP App For iPhone
Fring, a mobile internet community and service for talking and chatting with other friends on the Fring network, has announced that they are launching a mobile VoIP app for the iPhone. A pre-release version of the application, which was developed in conjunction with the Holon Institute of Technology academic research labs in Israel, is now available. Demo video after the break.
The app will enable users to make “free and low cost mobile calls over WiFi”, as well as chat with friends in an IM style chat. However, they claim that fring is optomized to run on 3G data speeds, so this may be a possibility when the 3G iPhone arrives.
