DeFi Announces Global VoIP Network For iPhone
Submitted by Edward Kirk on November 20, 2008 - 6:05pm.

VoIP company DeFi Mobile announced recently that they are working to get the iPhone working on their network. DeFi would allow the iPhone to make calls over an internet connection for a monthly subscription fee. It requires a Wi-Fi connection to operate, but they claim that their partnerships expand their network to include private and personal connections.
The service also includes voice-to-email, caller-ID, call-forwarding, call-hold, and call-transfer. Customers can also chose what country they want their phone number to originate from. Plans start at $40/month, and you can add three contact numbers from different countries for $10.
DeFi hopes to launch the new service by the end of the year.
