Control Your TiVo From Your iPhone With TiVoRemote

A user by the name of Duckfin at the TiVo Community Forum has created a native application that turns your iPhone into a TiVo remote. The app, named TiVoRemote, utilizes the TiVo's Telnet control feature to give you complete control of your TiVo right from your iPhone.

The app is free and easy to install. Just add http://tivoremote.googlecode.com/svn/www/repo.xml as a source to Installer.app, and locate TiVoRemote in the "Toys" category.

No Directions for use!

I have downloaded this app to give it a try, however it does not work. Im assuming you need wi-fi but there is no direction, no help files, nothing. I cant even find a webpage that give some insight as to how to connect it.

Looks like it only works for Series 3 or HD TiVos.

I don't see much else on http://code.google.com/p/tivoremote/

Personally, I love my solution. I have a Series 1 TiVo with the TiVoWebPlus project loaded on it. The TiVo then runs a simple webserver which allows you to browse your TiVo from any webbrowser (iPhone included) from within the house.
