Comoki Launches Cool New Wikipedia Web App

iPhone web app developer Comoki has released a WIkipedia web app for the iPhone that allows you to search the social encyclopedia database using a sleek, well-designed interface that has been fine tuned to work perfectly on the iPhone or iPod touch. The app includes a "Save" feature and the ability to search any language.

The app makes some good use of AJAX to do things like enlarging images and expanding titles without any loading. You can find it at http://wikipedia.comoki.com/.

It's awfully neat! Shows how easy an existing webpage/interface can be made for the iPhone while still maintaining most of the functionality.

I really like this form of Wikipedia. It's very clean and very well-suited for the iPhone and iPod touch! Wikipedia should make this the default layout if one was to simply type wikipedia.com on their iPhon/iPod touch.
