Canadians Finally Get AppleCare, One Year Too Late For 3G Users

Apple is now offering AppleCare for iPhone users in Canada, allowing 3G and 3GS owners to extend their technical support and hardware warranties to two years after the date of purchase for $79 (Canadian) through their Canadian online store. Interestingly, the release of AppleCare in Canada has happened just after the one-year AppleCare activation window for those who purchased the iPhone 3G at it’s launch, approximately one year ago, and Apple is not offering any extensions. It’s not clear if this was intentional.
