Today at Apple's World Wide Developers Conference it was announced that the iPhone would be released at 6PM on June 29th. It was also announced that the iPhone has been opened to developers, but there's a twist.
Because iPhone uses the full Safari technology, developers are able to make any web based app they want for use on the iPhone with no SDK necessary. According to Steve Jobs, the apps will "just work" and they can be released and work on June 29th.
Other news from the conference includes a new Leopard desktop, new Dock, and improved features. Also, Apple's website was not mentioned at the conference but it has been completely re-done to match the new Leopard look. Check it out at Apple.com!
