Breathalyzer For Your iPhone Tells You How Drunk You Are

Ever wish you could tell just how drunk you really are? While common sense generally says getting behind the wheel after drinking is generally a bad idea, you can now find out if it's also illegal with the latest BAC testing accessory for our iPhone or iPod touch. The iBreath is a breathalyzer that plugs in to the bottom of your iPhone or iPod touch (and other iPod models) that can not only test your blood alcohol content, but can also transmit music to your car radio. Neat, huh?

Who approves?

This of course has the approval of law authorities or some government entity that says the product is legit? I'd hate for someone to add Apple, the iPhone (or touch), as well as the breathalyzer maker to a lawsuit for false reading or inaccurate measurement due to DUI ticket or a car wreck. Not to mention the possible loss of someone's life.

What a combo

A breathalyzer and allows you to transmit music to your car radio? What an odd combination of products.

Honestly, I saw no mention of any certification on the product page. I would say that if it really matters to you, just don't drive after drinking. Seems like good advice anyway, of course... sorry.

most publicly available breathalyzers aren't certified by anyone no matter how accurate they are
i want a breathalyzer for the novelty aspect...and i need to replace my FM transmitter. Strangely enough I am considering buying this. Must have been something in my OJ this morning

update: it's useless for a cool party toy, it only goes up to .1 so it really is just to test if you are legal...lame

The iPhone's........

The iPhone's accessories can do almost anything, and one of them can keep you from needing a payday loan for bail money. The newest accessory is the iBreath, a portable breathalyzer, the next wonder device from the people who brought us the trailblazing iPod. The device also doubles as an FM transmitter. Hollywood's high profile partiers are reportedly jumping at the chance and buying them up so that they don't end up the next celebrity mug shot, especially after so many high profile busts for DUI. The iPhone has been one of the hottest items over the last year, and people have been flocking to buy them and accessories. Having a portable device to keep from getting payday loans to pay for a lawyer is a definite blessing. To read more about iBreath and payday loans for financial emergencies, check out this article.
