AT&T Brings Back Home Activation With iTunes, Offers Home Delivery

in

One of the great things about the iPhone when it first launched was how easy the activation process was. Users used to be able to hop into iTunes and set up an account with AT&T from the comfort of home, but that ended with the iPhone 3G. Now, for those of you buying an iPhone 3G in the next few weeks, AT&T is once again allowing online iPhone activation.

They also announced today that for the first time, you can order an iPhone online from their website and have it shipped to your house. That means that instead of having to order, pick it up in the store, and wait an hour for them to activate it, you can pick out your iPhone, pay for it, get it at home, and activate it through iTunes, all from the comfort of your own home. There is a catch, however. The activation process is only available for those starting new accounts.

I think this is great. It's defanitly less stress on the costomer so to say. Good job AT&T. But as said there is always a catch. Hahaha.

If it works...

If it works, don't fix it!
Now that AT&T is laying every one off this may be the only way they can add new subscribers.

Where's your source on this? I can't seem to find the veracity of any of this. When does this go into effect?
