Apple To Announce iPhone OS 4.0, iLife 2010, Along With Tablet At Jan 27th Event?
FOX News technology personality Clayton Morris claims to have word from reliable sources from within Apple that claim the media event next week will “likely” contain announcements of the rumored tablet, “iPhone 4″, and iLife 2010. Unfortunately, he says new iPhone hardware won’t be part of the announcements. The news follows a previous rumor that Apple has been working on a multitouch version of iWork, as well.
“I spoke to a source at Apple this morning, before the invite hit my inbox, who said the event would likely focus on three projects: The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software,” Morris wrote. “While we won’t see new iPhone hardware just yet, we will see the next-generation software.”
That said, he also warned readers that Apple has a history of deciding not to announce certain products at the last minute, so don’t be surprised if something’s not on the list.
