Apple Support Trainees Confirm iTunes Video Downloads Directly To iPhone in 3.0?

AppleInsider says "people familiar with Apple's training program" tell them that new self-guided training materials are being distributed to AppleCare agents teaching them about the features in iPhone OS 3.0, and they "definitely covered" the direct downloading of movies and TV shows to the device itself.

The sources also added that the distribution of the training was unusually early, distributed roughly six weeks ahead of the product launch date.

The plans AT&T announced a few days ago to double their 3G network speed to 7.2Mbps may better suit video downloading and streaming over the air. Otherwise, limiting video downloading from iTunes to WiFi would be reasonable, given the far greater file size of video compared to music and apps.

i believe that the source of this leak is either very mistaken about what is going on or full of it because the experience of downloading a several hundred meg to 1.5gb file over a wifi or 3g network would take way longer than i would stay in a wifi network
