Apple Seeds Updated iPhone OS 3.0 Beta [Update: 11 Pages Of Apps, Performance Improvements]
MacRumors reports that Apple has seeded the second version of the iPhone OS 3.0 beta to developers. There’s no word on any major differences with the new update, but it’s available to registered developers. It is interesting to see them release an update for it so soon, however.
Update #1: The Loop Blog has posted a screenshot of the updated iPhone OS 3.0 Beta showing that the number of pages of apps that the iPhone can store has been raised from 9 pages to 11.
Update #2: Additional unnamed sources tell us that the updated 3.0 OS is significantly more responsive and snappy, especially with typing on the onscreen keyboard and within the iPod app. App crashes are also less frequent, as well as other small improvements.
Update #3: We also have confirmation that the USB tethering hack still works.
