Apple Seeds iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 3, New SDK To Match

Apple has seeded iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3 to developers along with a new version of the SDK. Changes in iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3 have yet to be discovered, although Apple does note that apps targeted for devices prior to 3.0 will be unable to be tested on beta 3.

Changes to the SDK include several features including changes to Xcode IDE, Interface Builder 3.1, and updates to Dashcode letting developers create "web aiPhone [sic]".

The warning from Apple regarding 2.2.1 apps not working only applies to testing apps. Applications purchased through the App Store are working.

Skype chat is working for me on this Beta...strange.

I havent tried the call feature.

I still have the MMS option. However, I noticed it disappears on me with Beta 1 and 2. I currently have it now with beta 3. I will see if it happens again.

Wow, this IS odd... the small camera icon is gone from my text message area...but the MMS on/off feature is still available under my Message Settings...

Anyone know how to help?

Ok, last night i decided to restore and reload Beta 3 again to see if maybe MMS would magically pop back in... and it did! Very odd.

I used the same iPhone 3G download link as before, nd its the same build..just now it re-appeared. Oh well.

Skype is good!
