Apple Releases Version Five of iPhone OS 3.0 Beta, SDK; New iTunes 8.2

Apple has released version five of the iPhone 3.0 software (Build 7A312g) to developers, as well as a new pre-releas version of iTunes 8.2 and version five of the SDK (build 9M2735). As was the case with the last beta software download, iTunes 8.2 is required in order to install the latest beta OS. We're still waiting on details about new features and changes from the previous version.

It is interesting that Apple has already released a new verison just eight days after they released version four. One theory is that with WWDC 2009 just a month away, the company could be ramping up development to make sure everything is ready on time.

Thanks mr fancy pants

Ok first shitty move probably at AT&T request's: Tethering doesn't work anymore

Is that after you tried the carrier update hack?

Ok... I went to the website. Download the att_us.ipcc. Updated the itunes... Not working

with the old version I install the ATT_us.ipcc and on my library inside the itunes folder there was a folder called iPhone Carrier Support. And inside the tethering plug in (?)... well that has disappear completely. and even when I reinstall it by updating pressing ALT key it doesn't work

Go to your Settings>General>About and see what your carrier version is

AT&T 5.0

Before trying something that totally eff my iphone.. can I go back to the 3.0 4 without screwing the band?

Ok.. I delete the device from my computer. Re pair it. The iphone when I turn the Tethering on says its working. When I try to connect from the computer... NO NO NO NO... I get this message: "Failed to open a connection to the network service. Your device may have its maximum number of supported network connections"

Ok. I take it back. it's working. Although I remember having to actually have to go to the bluetooth icon and connect to the iphone. Now I just plug the iphone and it connects directly. So it is working.

One thing. I have created the Phone Carrier Support inside library/itunes/ the itunes doesn't do it by it self.

I will keep checking for other crap.

Michael... ask me because you might have more specific questions that I am overseeing.

Have you tried doing it over USB? I've NEVER gotten it to work over Bluetooth. I actually get the same error.

Ok. I think the problem is with the EFFING bluetooth because when it works is when I turn the bluetooth off and leave it only with the usb cable!

Woo! Problem solved.

it is a little slow to access some of the the menus. like takes a couple of seconds to get into the GENERAL MENU.

19th!!!

Nineteenth person to post! Oh yeah!
