Apple Patent Filing: Order Products Wirelessly

Apparently this is the week of the Apple patents. Yet another patent application filing by Apple has been found. This one details a process for customers to place orders at local stores and restaurants wirelessly with a media player, cellphone, or personal digital assistant.

That way, when their order is ready, they would receive an alert on their device telling them that it is ready to be picked up, cutting down on time wasted waiting in lines. One possible application for this technology might be Starbucks, with which Apple already has a partnership for wireless music services.
