Apple Launches iPhone Dev Center

in

Apple has announced the iPhone Dev Center, an addition to the Apple Developers Connection. Described as "your single source of information for designing, coding, and optimizing web applications for iPhone and iPod touch".

From the main page, it looks like an excellent resource for anyone doing web development for the iPhone. It contains web development guidelines, iPhone Tech Talk videos, sample code, and a reference library filled with assorted information. I have to say, despite being just for web apps, it looks like a great start. Hopefully Apple will expound upon this in time.

Currently you have to be an ADC member to log in to the iPhone Dev Center, so if you don't have a free online membership you can sign up for one here.

Unfortunately, Apple did forget one crucial detail. They forgot to buy the domain name for iPhoneDevCenter.com. (Sorry folks, someone already got to it. Better luck next time.)
