Apple To Launch App Store Thursday At Noon EST?

Forbes is claiming to have information from three people that have "been briefed on the matter" that Apple will be launching the highly anticipated App Store at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday to coincide with the sale of the first iPhone 3G's, which will occur simultaneously in New Zealand.

The launch of the App Store will also mean that the NDA covering applications that will be available in the App Store or were created with their SDK will be lifted, allowing third party developers to disclose detailed information and screenshots about their software for the new platform.

Lots of the ones we expected... AIM, Remote, MySpace... and lots that I could never expected. Tons of games. Many prices range from free to $.99, $4.99, $9.99 and above.
