Apple Design Award Winners Announced for 2012

Today Apple announced the winners of its annual Apple Design Awards at the Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC). Winning developers, as part of their award and nomination, will receive complimentary Apple products including a MacBook Air, an iPod Touch, an iPad, the Apple Design Award cube trophy and also a special lanyard all to congratulate the developers.

Winning such an award is quite an accomplishment – especially considering the amount of apps currently on the App Store alone: a stunning 650,000.

For apps to be eligible for the App Design Award nomination, they must be distributed via the Mac or the iOS App Stores. This year’s winners come from multiple genres including games, education, art and music. The winners are listed below according to the platforms for which they were nominated.
