App Deal: Earthscape Offered Free For Limited Time

Earthscape is a cool little Google Earth-like app that gives you a globe that you can turn and zoom right down to ground level. It also shows where you are based on your iPhone's GPS, as well as view information tagged for specific locations. Now, in order to bost their download numbers, they giving the $10 app away for free for a limited time.

What's great about the app is that shows locations tagged as having a Wikipedia article written about them that you can read, and view Flickr photos tagged with a location on the map as well. Best of all, it's all user-submitted, so you can upload your photos to their database as well and they'll show up on the map.

Hurry up and get your own copy in the App Store here.

I can't download the app.

It keeps saying it's being modified.

The App "Earthscape" is showing up as $4.99 for me at 2:27pm MST on 9/18/08.

Did the free promotion come and go?!

Earthscape

Tokyo here. Seems like a nice a app HOWEVER, although it locates the area of Tokyo city I am in, there is NO data for anywhere nearer than about two miles off the ground, which when compared to Maps (which shows the cars in my drive with bird shit on the windshield) is a little underwhelming. For FREE it's just about worth it.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm in the US and as of 4:24PM CDT it's still free.
