3G iPhone To Get New Form Factor, Unknown Sensor, Color Options?

in

The photos of an alleged black plastic iPhone were de-authenticated a while back, but that still hasn't killed the rumors of a black redesign. iLounge is claiming that the 3G iPhone will indeed have a glossy black plastic back case, as well as several other additional changes like a new bezel, more colors, and a new sensor. They say that word comes from accessory manufacturers that have already been briefed on the redesign so they may begin working on cases and other accessories before launch day.

In addition to the plastic, their sources are also claiming that the new iPhone's form will be curved in a way more similar to that of the MacBook Air, have a thinner chrome bezel, and have an unknown third sensor (possibly a second camera) to accommodate room for. There is also talk that they may take the opportunity to add new colors to the line-up, such as a red Product Red model.

Hm...

I really hope this isn't true.
At least the part about the back being glossy black.
I think how it is right now is perfect.
Other then that, Im welcome to change. Johnny's been putting out great stuff lately [:

before they busted the black iPhone rumor i had said Apple wouldn't do that, and again... they won't do that. They just spent their time making (nearly their whole) lineup of apple products aluminum styled (to make all the hippies happy). Do you really think they are going to take a step back? And it would just be ugly and look like every LG phone

personally i hate the fact that the silver bezel scratches so easily
just make the whole front black
personally for mine im thinking colorware

I'm thinking that if Apple really want to include a decent 3G, Wifi, GPS?, WiMAX? receiver all together in the new second generation iPhone, then they're gonna have to lose all that aluminum casing. I remember thinking when Apple released the first gen iPhone, a year ago... why the entire back casing wasn't aluminum! but of course, they had to allocate the WiFi reciever somewhere. I'm guessing more space will be needed for a GPS receiver plus the rest, so the lack of aluminum is a trade off that Apple has to make.
