2.0 Gold Master May Hit Friday? [Update: Release Date Still July 11th]

Gizmodo claims to have information from sources within Apple's iPhone software development team that it is "highly probable" that the iPhone 2.0 Golden Master will be completed and ready by this Friday, just in time for a June release like Apple promised us. The final version may launch two weeks in advance of the iPhone 3G. The 2.0 Golden Master release will be following the release of build 345, which added two code-signing and encryption features not previously available.

Gizmodo notes, however, that the release date it tentative, so just because their source said that "this is the plan," that doesn't make it carved in stone.

Also, the Dev Team says that they are hard at work cracking the latest build, getting ready to pwn the final release of the software.

Update: Gizmodo has updated their story in a manner that suggests the update won't be released until July 11th.
