1Password To Bring Form Auto-Fill To iPhone

Agile Web Solutions gave a sneak peek of a new feature coming to 1Password. It can already create secure, encrypted, and password-protected bookmarklets for the iPhone. The new feature will use this to allow for auto-filling of forms, letting you automatically sign in to a web site from your iPhone.

1Pasword does this by creating another bookmarklet matching the current tab in MobileSafari to any of your identity information stored for that site, then (optionally) auto-submits it. If you have multiple accounts for the site, then a javascript window pops up asking you to chose an account to log in with.

1Password costs $29.95 on its own, but don't forget that it's bundled in MacHeist II for another week.
