Have Pics of New iPhone Components Emerged? [Rumor]

While iPhone users await the release of iOS 6.1, which could come any day now (no, really!), those who care about such things can immerse themselves in the newest gossip: alleged pictures of components for the next iPhone models, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6, if French blog Nowhereelse.fr is to be believed.

The components in question are said to be speaker components, and are allegedly intended for two separate models; one will supposedly be released between March and July, and the other close to year’s end.

The Nowhereelse.fr blog has already immersed itself in iPhone controversy by posting images last month of what is claimed to be the iPhone 5S.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, an editor with the Nowhereelse.fr site, is credited with writing the most recent article, which was posted on Friday.

Hemmerstoffer also claimed that the components could be used with another future iPhone model, allegedly code-named “Math,” which would be designed to compete with so-called “phablets.”

It should be noted that Hemmerstoffer conveniently withheld the name of a supposed source, ostensibly in an effort to protect that source. As such, this rumor cannot be verified, and should be considered suspect.

Although it’s interesting–and perhaps a wee bit intriguing–to see images of what are supposedly parts of yet-to-be-released iPhone models, the fact that an obscure French blog posts photos and information without attributing a credible source makes it barely news.

But let’s face it, it’s a slow news day.
