New iFuntastic Supports iTunes 7.4, Gains Sophistication - September 14th, 2007, 02:03 AM #1 |
![]() Is there an iFuntastic dance? If there is, it's time to do it. bitSplit has been hard at work refining iFuntastic to make it even more useful. The first new feature is compatibility with iTunes 7.4, which I know most of you have been waiting for. There have also been updates to the way you install iFuntastic support files as well as added ringtone compatibility. The first thing you'll likely notice about iFuntastic is that it's been cleaned up quite a bit. The Welcome and Setup pages are both significantly easier to understand. From the Setup page, you're able to restore your phone, unshackle it, and install the iFuntastic support. Yes, that's right - iFuntastic support files are optional this time around. This means that if you don't like all those crazy applications and pages floating around on your iPhone, you don't need them. You can also remove the support files if you grow tired of them. Ringtones is now more powerful than before. In iTunes 7.4, Apple added the ringtones menu for really simple ringtone syncing, but for a price. iFuntastic now has the ability to add ringtones to your iTunes library using any audio file. Simply drop your audio (right from iTunes even) into the iFuntastic Ringtones panel and it's automatically converted and added. Simple! File Manager has also seen some minor tweaks and added abilities. The best, in my opinion, is the ability to stop audio (thank goodness!). Great for all those ringtones. Have fun! Screenshots: Requirements: An iPhone would help greatly :-) Download: iFuntastic v3.5.5 - Big thanks to the guys at twenty08 for hosting this on QuickShareit. Please post questions, problems, and feature requests in the Third Party Apps forum, and not in this story's comments.

I loved this software when it first came out, but I think it's no longer relevant. Installer and a ringtone program is all you need now. If you use this program to jailbrake your i-phone, then you are almost certain to get bricked the next time you DL an i-phone software update.

Can you change the system sounds? I just want to hear when I have a text/voicemail.
Has anyone been able to change this? |

If that's all you want to hear, then go to your system settings, then go to sounds, then click to turn off alerts for everything but mail and text. Simple.

You should be able to use it without an AT&T account, but the phone needs to actually work

Adding NES ROMs with iFuntastic 3.5.5 - September 15th, 2007, 07:39 PM #12 |
|
Install NES.app
- drag it into the Application List on the Home Screen page (iFuntastic Support must be installed for it to become 'runnable'; but you don't need to have changed the Home Screen); refresh the application list to have it show up; if you *are* using customized Home Screens, then place NES.app where you want it and update the Home Screens. or - install it by some other means - get yourself some NES ROMs. One place where they can be found is: http://www.theoldcomputer.com/Libarary's/Emulation/NES/ROMs/NES_roms_summary.htm - unzip the file(s) - go to the File Manager page, select 'NES ROMs' from the path drop down menu - drag the .nes file(s) into the list Enjoy. |
